Everyone will meet at Maynard Glenn Ball Park (2100 McClung Ave, Knoxville) for the Day of Service. Check-in will begin at 7 a.m. Everyone needs to be checked-in by 7:30 a.m. (except children under 8 ). Shuttles will bring volunteers to IJAMS Nature Center starting at 7:30 a.m. from Maynard Glenn Ball Park. All Forks of the River Wildlife Management volunteers will leave from Maynard Glenn at 7:40 a.m. Children’s Projects will begin at 10 a.m. at Maynard Glenn Ball Park. Project Choices: IJAMS Nature Center – Trail/Litter Cleanup for age 8+ (required: long pants, long sleeves, insect repellant, pruners, gloves (optional)) Forks of the River Wildlife Management Area – trail widening, cleaning privet, age 14+ (required: lopping shears, pruners, shovels, long pants, long sleeves, insect repellant, gloves (optional)) Children’s projects – Under 8 yrs: Coloring pages for display at Earth Fare, making catnip socks for Young Williams Animal Shelter, making seed packets for IJAMS Nature Center education programs.
