“SHARE THE WISH” FUND-RAISING FOOD FAIR BY THE KNOXVILLE TURKISH CULTURAL CENTER

Knoxville, Tenn.-– On September 11th, Sunday, between 11.00am – 6.00 pm the Knoxville Turkish Cultural Center will have its second annual “Share the Wish” Fund-Raiser by offering Turkish food delicacies, baked-goods and craft for the Tennessee School for the Deaf.

Door prizes, unique Turkish handcrafts, entertainment, live music performance, and delicious authentic Turkish food will be offered. The “Share the Wish” fund-raising event will be held in the parking lot of the cultural center at 7035 Middlebrook Pike. Admission is free.

The Knoxville Turkish Cultural Center conducted a short survey among a selected group of people to determine the non-profit organization in which this year’s fund-raiser should benefit. Participants’ majority vote was for the Tennessee School for the Deaf, a school that educates its students to be prepared to meet challenges in today’s society. Such fund-raisers help involve the center’s Turkish community members with charitable work and continue a Turkish long tradition of extending a helping hand to people in need. This upcoming event has the same objective of helping children and increasing interaction among people from different cultures and nationalities.

Knoxville Turkish Cultural Center is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization founded in 2008 by Turkish– Americans. Knoxville Turkish Cultural Center focuses on promoting dialogue among people of different backgrounds and cultures through educational, cultural, humanitarian, and specialty programs. The net profit of this fund-raising event will be donated to Tennessee School for the Deaf. For more information on this and other events organized by Knoxville Turkish Cultural Center, please visit
