Art exhibition at The Arts & Culture Alliance

Knoxville) – The Arts & Culture Alliance proudly presents a new exhibition featuring eleven local artists entitled “Emerging Artists Exhibition,” opening Friday, March 4, at 5:00 PM at the Emporium Center. This show includes acrylic, mixed media, drawing, printmaking, photography, fiber, installations, and more. The artists featured in the exhibition include:

Jonathan Bagby – Digital photography –
Julie Bernal – Digital photography –
Robmat Butler – Wood, plaster, plastic, foam –
Antuco Chicaiza – Large mixed media paintings –
Hannah C. Holder – Mixed media (watercolor, gouache, ink & colored pencil on paper) –
Heather Ann Jackson – 3-D drawings on paper; cut paper, burning techniques –
Jessie Morris – Photography –
Erin Mullenex – Mixed media collages with drawing and cut paper –
Katie Ries – Embroidered badges, photographs –
Jessie Van der Laan – Prints and drawings on paper –

“Emerging Artists Exhibition” will be displayed in the Emporium Center, 100 S. Gay Street, from March 4-25, 2011. An opening reception will take place as part of First Friday activities on March 4 from 5:00-9:00 PM with complimentary hors d’oeuvres and wine and featuring music by guitarist Thomas Anderson ( Gallery hours are Monday-Friday 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM with additional hours on Saturday, March 5, from 11:00 AM – 3:00 PM.
