NASHVILLE, Tenn.– El Centro Comunitario Progreso es la primera organización comunitaria democrática y participativa sirviendo a la comunidad hispana de Nashville. Este sábado, 18 de Octubre, a las 6pm el centro inaugurará el primer CiberCafé de la comunidad hispana en la ciudad capital.
Toda la comunidad está invitada a participar de la comida, la diversión, la ‘Noche de Karaoke’, el baile y las ‘Improvisaciones de Talento’ que forman parte de la inauguración del CiberCafé.

El CiberCafé es un lugar que permite obtener por un tiempo establecido acceso a la navegación en Internet y a otros servicios de la red como mensajería instantánea, correo electrónico, video conferencia o Voz sobre IP; además puede hacerse uso de aplicaciones de oficina, editores de imágenes y utilidades de software. En estos sitios también es muy frecuente contar con servicios de impresión de documentos, escáner, grabación de CDs o DVDs, lectores de memorias para cámaras fotográficas y una variedad de periféricos que no son de uso común doméstico.
La iniciativa de El Centro Comunitario Progreso es proveer a los miembros de la comunidad de estos servicios a un mínimo costo que serán donativos para asegurar el mantenimiento y la continuidad de los servicios.

This Saturday, Oct. 18, at 6pm the center will open the first hispanic community Cybercafé in the state capital.

The Internet Cafe is a place that allows for a established time to get access to Internet browsing and other network services such as instant messaging, e-mail, video conference or Voice over IP, also people can use office applications, image editors and utilities software. At these sites is also very common to have printing services for documents, scanning, burning CDs or DVDs, memories readers for cameras and a variety of peripherals that are not commonly household used.
The initiative of the Progress Community Center is to provide community members of these services at a minimal cost as donations to ensure maintenance and continuity of services.
