from another point of view: CARLOS NICHO, 44, is CEO and founder of Mundo Hispano - Hispanic World Inc., an East Tennessee company that publishes the Mundo Hispano bilingual newspaper that circulates from Nashville to the Tri-Cities. He began publishing Mundo Hispano in 1999, and it now is distributed for free in 30 counties. He was born in Peru, raised in Venezuela, and came to the United States nearly 20 years ago. He is a University of Tennessee Chancellor's Associate, a member of the Hispanic Chamber of Commerce of East Tennessee, a graduate of the 2008 FBI Citizens Academy, a 2006 Leadership Plenty graduate, and a member of the Civil Rights Crimes Group of East Tennessee. He became a U.S. citizen last year, is married and has two children.
